My family and I are heavy users of Seattle's public library system. In 2004 the crown jewel - the downtown Central Library - was unveiled 3 years after the decrepit building it replaced was torn down. This is a very impressive addition to Seattle's downtown core.
The interior of the library is like nothing you have seen in a public library. The variety of spaces available to you are mind boggling. Rather than trying to describe them to you I'll simply insist that you make a visit to this library a high priority next time you visit downtown Seattle.
