This overlook is the reward for a hike of less than half a mile and about 110-foot elevation change. The early part of the trail is relatively easy, but the section near the knob is rocky. Thre are areas where you can look to the S, E, & NE. This site is also a popular birdwatching spot.
To reach from Bake Oven Road (gravel), proceed to the top of the mountain to the parking areas. From there, follow the AT to the E & up the hill.
