St. David's is the only Episcopal Church in Scotland County. This church grew from a church with its roots in Laurel Hill, NC. The small chapel was built by Mr Morgan owner of the local textile mills. In 1905, the first St David's church was built near the center of Laurinburg on East Church Street. Later, the property was used for retail business and the congregation moved to the American Legion home for their services. The current church was built in 1953 with additions in the 1960's.
