To get here you need to take a long hike with a roughly 1000 elevation gain. If you come up via the Furnace Creek trail, it is a 7 mile round trip. If you come up via the standard way going via Pulpit Rock (also an excellent viewpoint), it will be 8.5 mile round trip. If you come up the back way from Eckville, it is a 9.5 mile round trip. All accesses are by woods roads, except for the last 1/4 mile or if coming from Pulpit Rock, but only park service people or State Game Land staff can drive on them.
