This anchor, presumed to be from a Union blockade ship, was found it the river near here. It has been put on display to honor those men who served in the area.

Possibly from one of the Union Navy vessels that blockaded the South Atlantic Coast and Savannah River during the War Between the States
1861-1865
Found in the Savannah River in the vicinity of the jetties

Recovered in 1989 by Captain Bill Walsh, Sr
