The collection assembled and preserved by the Pell family at Fort Ticonderoga includes authentic Revolutionary period artillery, and newer pieces from several countries and conflicts. At least 2 of these originally resided at the Fort before being transported among 60 tons of artillery to Dorchester Heights (Boston) by Henry Knox, in the winter of 1776 - a strategic move which ended the British Siege of the city.

Some of these pieces show details ranging from artistic to bizarre.
