Company 1913 worked here from 1933 to 1942 and completed the following projects: 20 acres of campgrounds with 150 campsites, building 250 stone campstoves, and cutting 22 miles of trails. They also installed telephone, water and sewage systems, and constructed several new buildings.
This building, park headquarters, was constructed by the CCC in 1934-35 from plans drawn up by Works Progress Adminstration (WPA) architects. Originally called the Warden's Office, it is a lasting reminder of the accomplishments of these young men.
