A classic sledding in the city of Göteborg, Sweden. It has been used as a sledding area since around the year 1900. There are some photos of winter activities from 1902, sledding by horse was then a common activity. The picture below shows winter activites in teknikbacken the year 1902.
This sledding area can only bee used then the lake below the slope is frozen! Make shore you don’t end up on thin ice!
I was here with my school then I was 8 year old. It ended in a crash, I made a loop and landed on my head (not wearing a helmet – children today sometimes wear helmets but most do not), but I was ok after some rest – but did not go down hill for the rest of the day.
