This caboose is locked inside a chain link fence. Caboose is also locked up. Fresh paint covers everything except the BN logo and the maintenance plate.
US-36 runs just to the south of town, most travel businesses, gas stations etc. moved to the NEW Hwy, and town is fairly dead. Just north of the caboose is a tall Civil War monument in the median of Main St.
This caboose was built in November 1968 by the Morrison International Car Co.

The last post in this forum thread (visit link) provides a list of SLSF caboose locations and identifies the caboose as follows.
