This wooden statue is easily missed -- he's on the back side of the fish market. You can stop by and take a photo in some cemented rubber boots.

Before heading over to the tourist filled Old Fisherman's Wharf, take a walk along Wharf #2. Rumor has it, you can get a tour of the abalone farming establishment if you stop in during hours. I can't confirm it, as I stopped by on a holiday. Even though we didn't get to see the abalone, we did find this guy!
