These caves can be found on the Broken Top trail in Craters of the Moon National Monument near Arco, ID. The caves are located roughly half of a mile from the parking area. The trail up to the caves is in fairly good shape.
Once you reach the waymark you will find several openings into small caves. Getting into many of the caves will require some crawling. The back door to this cave has been closed, but the rest remains open.
The cave gets its name from an early explorer, George Powell, who found buffalo remains inside the cave.
