Per the NRHP application, "Rose's Store is located on the southeast corner of Athens-Boonesboro Road and Cleveland Pike, which was originally Lot #24 on the 1826 plat. It is a very simple commercial building dating from the mid-19th century. The balcony and roof do not appear to be original. The two-story brick structure was moved from its original location further east on Athens-Boonesboro Road to its present site in the late 1800s."
