The Thurston Classic balloon festival is held every Father's Day weekend in Meadville, Pa.(weather permitting, of course.)

This years festival will be held on June 15-18, 2006 at the Allegheny College Sports Complex. The Thurston features 30 balloons and a Night Glow with 10 balloons.

On a personal note...Last year my husband, and 3 year old were able to "help" pack up one of the balloons that landed in the local trainyard. They even offered for us to be on the chase crew this year!
