From Utah: A Guide to the State in the Bryce Canyon National Park points of interest section:
INSPIRATION POINT, a mile south, offers the most comprehensive and overwhelming view. On the right is the Wall of Windows; below it is an area of old-rose battlements, adorned with rows of pale mauve spires, and far beyond is the cavernous southern wall reaching from the floor to the rim. Most spectacular is the view toward Sunrise Point - for here is Bryce in all its barbarous glory. The first impression may be of a mountainside of thousands of segmented columns; the second of countless jointed monuments standing row on row from the floor of the canyon to the rim; but the third and most satisfying summary is of all the finest cycloliths of ancient times, brought to this amphitheater to be preserved unto posterity.
The Rim Road proceeds southward to other views including BRYCE POINT, RAINBOW POINT, PARIA VIEW, and BRYCE NATURAL BRIDGE, a ragged arch in yellow and orange and gold; but after the view from Inspiration Point, everything southward is anticlimax.
Agreed, the lookouts to the south aren't as good as the northern three, but the Natural Bridge is nice to check out. There are three different lookouts at Inspiration Point at three different elevations and they all offer a different perspective of the amphitheater. The highest and furthest lookout is a steep climb of about 100'.
