This modest, single stone marker sits out in the open, on the southern most tip of All Saints Parish, at the intersection of Buckius and Edgemont Streets. Comparitively speaking, this is a rather safe area to visit, even at night.

A few feet from the sidewalk, and in front of Marian Hall (red building) lies this old reminder of war. It is raised up on a rectangular-shaped prism made of the same material as the sidewalk. It is about 2 feet by 2 feet and sits low to the ground. It pays homage to the six men of this church (All Saints Roman Catholic Church) who made the ultimate sacrifice. The memorial stone is green and worn and at one time was no doubt shiny and very metallic looking. One hundred feet away, down the road (northeast) is the church cemetery where some of these men rest.
This part of town has strong Polish roots and no doubt very strong feelings about the war given the invasion of their country by Hitler in '39. I was surprised there was not more men listed. perhaps many came home safe. This neighborhood is called Bridesburg and is in the northeast part of Philadelphia.
The text of the marker reads:
"In honor of
the men of All Saints Church
who made the supreme sacrifice
in World War II
1941-1945
