The chapel is one of many church buildings on the territory of The Trinity Lavra of St. Sergius, the largest monastery in Russia and the spiritual center of Russian Orthodox Church. It was built in the end of 17th century in Naryshkin style, the name means "over the well" - there is a well in place of an altar inside.
The admission to the monastery is free. For taking pictures you have to buy a photo permit (100 roubles).
