Two stern paddlewheels, The Roaring Bull and The Falcon, take passengers back in time with a one-mile journey across the Susquehanna River.

From May through October up to four cars and fifty passengers can drive and walk on board a paddlewheel ferry for a trip across the Susquehanna River. The journey is a one-mile trip where shorebirds can be seen on the large rocks in the river or along the shores of the islands dotting the river.

The ferry predates the town of Millersburg. It has been operating since at least 1817 when it started as pole boats. At the peak of operations between 1905 and 1936 the ferry operated four boats. It has changed hands a few times over the years, but is now owned by the Chamber of Commerce and operated through the efforts of a team of volunteers. The Roaring Bull and Falcon are believed to be the last wooden double stern-wheel paddle boats operating in the U.S.

The times listed below are for weekday service. On the weekends ferry service begins at 9am and ends at dusk.
