This is a fully restored vintage 1969 Norfolk & Western steel cupola caboose in working condition. Over 3000 volunteer hours were logged in the restoration of this caboose. On the same site is a restored 1930's train signal along the track that also is in working condition.
The caboose is open on the first Saturday of each month between April through October from 0900 to 1100. Group tours can be arranged also.
Current Use:
The caboose is displayed on an abandoned track along the Warrenton Greenway and is along a nice walking trail that goes through the historical part of Warrenton, Virginia
