Five Points, referring to the number of street intersections, was a secondary business district to the main Broad Street area. King Furniture Company was shown in the Times-News newspaper in 1927 (see photo in gallery). It was also listed in a 1937 business listing by the Rotary Club.
The building now has offices for the Hay House agency, which assists qualified convicted offenders in developing the skills needed to function in the community.
