This small area of land across the street from the No 1 station holds a number of tribute items for the Fire Company. In addition to the 100-year plaque, there is a flag pole presented by the Chamber of Commerce thanking the Fire Company for 100 years of service. There are two additional markers for Roberta Russo Lamphier, Henry Runco, and C. Weingroff who all died while on duty. A last marker identifies life members and deceased members of the community that have supported this volunteer company.

The inscription on the plaque reads:
Toms River Fire Company Number 1
Organized January 1, 1896
This is dedicated to the men and women of
Toms River Fire Company Number 1
Who have given unselfishly of themselves
