Zion Cemetery is located on a hilltop along FM 423 between SH 380 and Eldorado Parkway in Frisco, Denton County, Texas. Among the burials are some of the pioneers of nearby Little Elm. The view of the surrounding area is very scenic from this location. I inventoried and photographed the graves in Zion in the summer of 2003, at which time there were 236 legible grave markers:

The is a 2006 historical marker here from the Heritage Association of Frisco, which reads:
"In the mid 1800s promise of free land brought settlers to this area known as Hawkins settlement. A methodist society was formed & Zion Church & Cemetery were established on land owned by J. Henry Hawkins. Earliest known burial was in 1859. Sitting atop a bluebonnet covered hill it is an active cemetery today."
