The Eagle project consisted in part of landscaping with hostas and other green foilage in two raised beds framed with railroad ties. A nice start to the very pretty Virginia Creeper Trail. Jason presented his project concept to the Abingdon town council in February, and completed it during the summer 2008.

This location is trail milemarker 0, which for me was the beginning of a 20-mile journey for Hiking merit badge with a scout who had also just finished his Eagle project, (but still needs to finish up the required badges to earn that rank). Explained to him that this was another category in waymarking that I enjoy to find.

Jason also appears to be active in the Sequoyal Order of Arrow Lodge as Vice Chief of Communications. And won 1st place for Senior Music in the 2008 - 2009 Reflections Contest Winners (Holston District). Also an excellent swimmer on the high school team.
