"New Jersey Turnpike ridin' on a wet night 'neath the refinery's glow, out where the great black rivers flow
License, registration, I ain't got none but I got a clear conscience
'Bout the things that I done
Mister state trooper, please don't stop me
Please don't stop me, please don't stop me"
The Turnpike winds throuh many areas of New Jersey's industrial areas, and follows the paths of multiple rivers. So...I couldn't think of a better place to waymark than the beginning of the Turnpike, after crossing the Delaware Memorial Bridge.
This song ALWAYS comesto mind, no matter where on the Turnpike I may be...and I always hope not to see that State Trooper.
Musician: Bruce Springsteen
