Bedford Museum is situated in the former Higgins and Sons Brewery and is in conjunction with the Cecil Higgins Art Gallery.
The exhibits reflect the social and natural history of the area. There are numerous collections of pottery, coins and fossils from Bedfordshire with hoards discovered in the countryside.
There is a small shop and cafe and a courtyard on the lower level.
