This building was constructed in 1842 as an officer quarters. By 1846, it was assigned as the Chaplain's quarters. There were two main rooms, two shed rooms and a detatched kitchen. A fence surrounded the entire premises.
In the 1930's, the structure was rebuilt between the existing chimneys as a residence. It is now the Visitor Center and Site Office.
