Baroque fountain at the Hus' square was renewed by putting and consecrating of the statue of St. John of Nepomuk in June 2004..
The sandstone fountain endured all catastrophes which afflicted Beroun during the last 300 years. It was a conflagration in 1735, when the water in the fountain boiled, floods including the biggest in 1872, when the original statue by Martin de Majo dissapeared in water of Litavka river. After long 85 years the original fountain made by Jan Slezák in 1728 with the statue replica by Petr Vitvar from Cernošice came back to the centre of the town.
