On the crest of a grassy area, near a sculpture of a "Seabee" stands an arrangement of a bell, an anchor and two flagpoles. The bell stands behind the others when viewed from the access road. It is installed about head high on a wooden frame.
The bell is plainly decorated, but does have "U.S.N." embossed on the side. Above the bell, on the wooden frame, there is a plastic plaque with the words:
"Camp Endicott Bell
This bell stood outside
headquarters building.
Camp Endicott from
1943 until closure in 1994."
The bell is now located within the Seabee Museum and Memorial Park, which is just off Davisville Avenue, and near a Lowe's Store. To get there, from U.S. 1 exit at RI State Route 403, then travel on Davisville Avenue which also extends from the intersection, and drive about 0.25 mile to the access road on the left.
