The museum is a log cabin made from two original Putnam County slave cabins. The building is similar to the one occupied by Uncle Remus, the lovable character made famous by Mr. Harris.
ZipADeeDoDa, ZipADeeAye...My, Oh My What A Wonderful Day!
And it was a wonderful day when we came upon this Museum on US 441 in Eatonton, Georgia, birthplace of Joel Chandler Harris. I grew up on Uncle Remus and Br'er Rabbit! And who could forget the Disney Classic "Song of the South" inspired by the stories of Mr. Harris.
