Since the day when current owner Chris Hodgson came on board as Service Manager in 1977, San Jose BMW has been actively involved in modifying BMWs to better suit the priorities of serious riders from long distance tourers to racers. Chris and San Jose BMW campaigned in the AMA Superbike class for many years with great success, including BMW's last win in National Superbike competition in 1978.
