Hambledown Cross is one of several boundary markers in this area with mark out the bounds of the old manor of Natsworthy, the cross is inscribed with HC,DS 1854. The markers were erected by Edward Augustus Seymour, the 11th Duke of Somerset, to mark the boundary of his estate.
