The Deschutes National
Forest Campground at Pringle Falls is a primitive campground with picnic benches
and fire pits and two pit toilets. The campsites are
located on a small bluff above the Wild and Scenic Corridor of the Upper
Deschutes River. It's a short walk down a path to access the river for
boating, fishing, or picnicing. There's even a small beach located at this
bend in the river that appears more scenic and less wild than other nearby
segments.
National Wild and Scenic
River designation is posted on a sign and shown on a map that are located in the
campground. If you are traveling here from LaPine on Burgess Road,
continue past the campground entrance a short distance and you will cross the
Deschutes River where additional NW&S signage can be found. (N43
