The Cornelius Hennessy building was built in 1896. The two-story building has a front facade of rough cut sandstone with inset arched windows reminiscent of the Richardsonian Romanesque style. The building is constructed of locally quarried sandstone and locally produced brick. The building served as a corner grocery store for several years. It is now used as a restaurant.
