Buttonwood Park Zoo is a smaller zoo, but is well maintained and has great display of more popular and local animals and their habitats. You can see otters, beavers, elephants, fish, snakes, birds, eagles, coyotes, bobcats and lynx and several more animals. There is also a section of domesticated animals such as cows, horses, pigs and chickens. A small train takes a short ride around the zoo grounds for $2, and they sometimes have pony rides. There is a food court and picnic benches for snacks or lunch, and a gift shop in the entrance area. The zoo often has special programs and performers for visitors to enjoy as well.
