The Grant Watts parents organization does a very nice job maintaining the grounds around this pole, but the pole was looking rather shabby before it was restored in 2009. It has been in place for more than 40 years now. The carving is quite whimsical and most appropriate for the setting. There appears to be a monster and a frog and a child and an owl on the pole.
