It's a little off the beaten track for most tourists (about 50 miles north of Reno), but the attractions are terrific. Over a hundred rail cars, engines, and cabooses can be found in the yard, many of which you can climb inside. For a fee you can even drive a diesel train! (Reservations required.) The Museum is open 7 days a week 10am - 5pm The first Saturday in April through the first Sunday in November. Admission was only 5$ for adults and $2 for children. For more information on the museum see
the museum website.
