New addition to the Bruce Trail in 2008, this highway crossing for pedestrians that runs beside the main Canadian National Railway makes an excellent location to see trains as they thunder along into Ontario.

A modest hike from the nearby parking at the "Screaming Ghost Tunnel" along the Bruce Trail, this spot provides an excellent and up close look at trains in passing. There is also a nice grassy field below for a picnic.
From the Niagara Bruce Trail website: This project was made possible by financial contributions from the Ministry of Transportation for Ontario, the Regional Municipality of Niagara, and the local Branscombe Foundation. We must also applaud the co-operation of Canadian National, owners of the land. The bridge will be maintained by the Region of Niagara for many years to come.
While the purpose of the bridge was not for train spotting, it is well suited to this unintended purpose.
