Japan's train history starts on Oct 15th 1872, from Shimbashi station to Yokohama station. Both "first generation station" is now changed its name into "Shiodome station" and "Sakuragi-cho station" respectively.
So, OK, Shimbashi station is the first station. It's true. However, this Shimbashi station is the second generation one, former "Karasumori Station".
