Not much to look at, but this civic center hosted some big named acts during the 1970's, including The King here on March 17-19, 1976 and February 19, 1977 for sell-out crowds of 7,000 concert seating. Per one website, he wore the Silver Phoenix and Ace Of Spades suits, respectively. Newspaper articles stated that crowds surrounded his hotel in Bristol, thus requiring police escort to get to the venue.
