This 125-foot-tall tank can be found at the intersection of Colon Road (SR1450) and Deep River Road (SR1466). It is about 6 miles north of Sanford and 7 miles southeast of Moncure.
To reach from US-1, take the Colon Road exit. Go west about 1.5 miles to the tank on the right, on a wooded lot, just before reaching Deep River Road (Old US-1).
As with most rural water towers, this one serves as a platform for cellular phone antennas. There is a logo for the City of Sanford on the south side.
