Lake of the Woods has many great spots for pictographs, and they are all out in the open with no access fees - except of course that many are accessable only by boat. Many boaters pass right by these ones without noticing, but if you know they are there you can find them. Go slow, find the smooth rock face, and look for the pictographs about half way up. The attached pictures should give you a hand.
Pleae don't go ashore to look at these, the view is better from the boat, and the less traffic the area gets, the better preserved the paintings will stay.
