The location is accessed via a lovely walk along the top of the active tunnel through the nature reserve known as 'Sharnbrook Summit'. Once you reach the end of the wooded tunnel top, the footpath continues between the two railway lines. Upon reaching the end of the summit you can view the Sharnbrook Tunnel entrance safely.

The line running through the tunnel is the slow line and the line next to the tunnel is the fast line. It is quiet on the weekends so the best viewing time is during the week.
