New England Comics is a small, local chain of eight stores around the Boston area. The company has the distinction of being a publisher itself; New England Comics Press was the original publisher of 'The Tick' a parody of the superhero comics.
This branch is located in downtown Norwood on Washington Street, near the intersection with Walpole Street. Parking is available either on the street or on any one of small parking lots around.
It has a variety of comics, both the main brands, like DC and Marvel, as well as some of the small names. When you enter the store, on the left are the current and recently released comics. The bins in front are all old comics (placed in plastic bags). Toward the back wall are the graphic novels and anthologies. To the right is the register and the other items such as figurines, games and cards.
The store is open every day except Tuesday.
