This was originally built as a single family home and later converted to the Four Palms Apartments. The structure and gingerbread decoration all look identical from then to now. The walls used to be white and are now painted dark blue, which makes the scrollwork stand out better. The row of mailboxes which used to be on the porch are no longer visible, and a tree and light pole are now in the picture at the corner.
