Pedestrian bridge crosses river here. Terminus for some river rafting. Popular exit point for kayaks. International triathlon refreshes here. Eppies Great Race is an annual event.
Parks passes are good for one year. Good at all but one park below Nimbus Dam. Fees vary (none for bicycles, walkers) $5. $20 for buses, extra for trailers over 22 ft. That might be the horse trailers. launch fee $3.
skate boards not welcome. this trail is especially busy near the bridge. high speed bicycles and group. pedestrians & joggers should not wear head music and need to be alert AND in single file. The 5 foot paved trail is center striped. Parts have flooded in winter.
Further east a mountain lion has been reported on Dec.31 --KCRA news Channel 3. There are wild turkey and deer in the area greenbelt.
Parts have also been subject to fire during the dry season, and homeless camping. The census actually surveyed there. multiple sites. Swimmers, kayakers, and rafter are required to wear life vests. Annual drownings. No drinking on the river.
