DESCRIBED BY TENNESSEE VALLEY AUTHORITY 1937 7.7 MI SW FROM KINGSPORT. 7.7 MILES SOUTHWEST ALONG STATE HIGHWAY 81 AND THE BLAIR GAP ROAD FROM THE POST OFFICE AT KINGSPORT, SULLIVAN COUNTY, 1.2 MILES (AIRLINE) NORTHWEST OF SULLIVAN GARDENS, AT THE INTERSECTION OF THE SULLIVAN GARDENS COUNTY ROAD, 400 FEET EAST OF A RAILROAD CROSSING, 125 FEET NORTHEAST OF TWIN 20-INCH SYCAMORE TREES, 125 FEET SOUTH OF A 14-INCH WALNUT TREE, 115 FEET SOUTHEAST OF A 1 STORY FARMHOUSE, 100 FEET NORTHWEST OF A 26-INCH WALNUT TREE, 35.8 FEET WEST OF A 10-INCH FORKED MAPLE TREE, 30 FEET NORTHEAST OF THE UPSTREAM END OF THE LEFT CONCRETE PIPE UNDER THE ROADWAY, AND IN A TRIANGULAR WEED PATCH AT THE ROAD INTERSECTION. A TENNESSEE VALLEY AUTHORITY STANDARD DISK, STAMPED SN 189 1937 AND SET IN THE TOP OF A CONCRETE POST.

Changes from this description. The Kingsport post office is now the library (Waymark WM4QP3). SULLIVAN GARDENS COUNTY ROAD is now Glen Alpine Road. The old Eastman railroad tracks have been removed. The 1-story farmhouse picture is in the gallery. And the survey mark is well buried down in a 8-10" hole that silts from the creek. Thanks to Rocky Road and Annie for actually finding the mark five years ago, so that I gave it another shot.
