The predecessor of this museum has been opened in 1935, founded by Ede Lósy-Schmidt.
The main building (present days) of the museum was opened in 1964.
In 1973 the Hungarian Government give nationwide grade for it. This means that the Technologic Museum has got far more source for upgrading they collection. 2007 is the beginning of the to integrate with the The Museum of Transportation Budapest.
The "Tanulmánytár" program is started in 2008. This program will guaranteed full obtain the collection of the museum. The collections in present days: 22 000 piece and 15 000 documents, 28 000 photos, and a lot of still working old tentative tools.
