Created in 1905, congrats on your 100 years, the Museum collects, preserves, researches and interpretes the culture and natural history of the state. The museum moved to this building in 1964 and became a part of the Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission in 1945. Located next to the Capital Building this is the most visited museum in the state, besides Gettysburg National Battlefield.

Industry & Technology / Mililtary History - civil War and Pennsylvania Kentucky rifles to wagons, carriages and early automobles
Paleontology & Geology - ONE collection of fossil plants is over 8000+, Do you know what the state fossil is?????? Phacops rana (trilobite)
Popular Culture & Political History - objects from the 19 and 20th centuries
Zoology & Botany Department - 40,000 specimans
