The posted coordinates are those cited at the Almaden AFS info site. The 80 foot tall tower building, visible from the Santa Clara Valley floor, can be pinpointed in Google Maps.
In 1958 the Almaden Air Force Station came on line with AN/FPS-20 and AN/MPS-14 radar sets. In 1959 an AN/FPS-6A height-finder radar joined the site. In 1961 the site received the second production model of an AN/FPS-24 search radar, and the radar became operational in 1962. The AN/FPS-20 was removed soon afterwards. In 1963 an AN/FPS-90 replaced the AN/FPS-6A. In 1979 the Almaden AFS came under the jurisdiction of the TAC and was subsequently closed in 1980.
Many nice pictures of the Almaden AFS are available on the web.
