On this corner was the first Executive Mansion in Harrisburg. It housed the 14th Governor, William Fisher Packer, a Democrat in office from 1/19/1858 to 1/15/1861. The 15th Governor, Andew Gregg Curtain, a Republican in office from 1/15/1861 to 1/15/1867. The house was purchased in 1858 and sold in 1864 when Keystone Hall was purchased as the new Executive Mansion.
Alas, I could find no pictures of the first mansion. So take a pic of yourself and this sign, to log your find.
