This time capsule was dedicated 19 April 2004 in honor of the university's Centennial Celebration. The capsule will be sealed until university Founders Day in WMU's sesquicentennial year, 27 May 2053. The statue was made by Karla Wyss-Tye and the items included in the capsule were selected by a time capsule committee from suggestions made by students, alumni, faculty and staff.
